Quick update, I am working on a fix for the API change. The version 8.0 is intended to disable the failing API for Garmin but it seem to have broken Strava for some users.
I am currently unable to reproduce myself the Strava issue, so first thing I suggest is go to settings and tap on Logout and then login again, it should clear some of the connection cache and it may get it working again, else send me a bug report again saying you have tried to logout and back.
Breaking Strava is unfortunate because the Garmin API change breaks downloading history and I am hoping to leverage Strava to get history…

Since 30th September I keep getting an invalid log in message. I usually connect with Garmin and in the settings section I can’t find anywhere to change my log in details and the username and password dont show up. Is this a known issue?

Thanks for all the years keeping this app active and updated. It is incredibly advanced with all the analytics and charts. I’ve been using it for about 15 years. I am also having update problems, and my last update within this app is September 25th. Thanks so much for all your work keeping this updated. From your blog it sounds like this is a more time consuming issue. Ideally, you are able to fix it. I appreciate you are providing this app free. I would definitely sign up for a subscription fee to help keep it updated and I’m sure others would as well.

Hi Brice, I’m also a long time user of ConnectStats and very sad to see that the application is not running well at the moment (because of the API Change).
The last update of activities I got is from mid of September ’23. If I try to get the newest Garmin activities I see an error. Therefore I deleted the app and installed it new, but when I now try to add the Garmin account I see “Needs More Inputs” and “Please enter credentials above”. But where is “above”? I cannot see any field to enter my Garmin credentials. It’s long time ago that I did that last time.
I experienced the same issue when I tried to install the app at a different device (iPad).
Unfortunately for me it is even not possible to logout from ConnectStats for Strava. It displays „Previously Logged In – Tap to start again“ – but no tap is accepted, thus remaining in this undifferent log in state. Opting in to download strava activities ends with a strava log in error. Thanks for looking into it. Great apo!

When I try to send a Bug report I get the message my version is outdated… I have 8.0.0 and need 8.0.1 but in the AppStore I get no update…
The reason why I send you the report is I can’t login in Garmin. There is a button tap end enter credentials above but nothing happens
I have pushed a new version which hopefully should be released soon and fix most problems. version 8.0.1

I can’t remember how long I have been using your app, but it is over 10 years. I just wanted to say thank you so very much for such a brilliant and advanced app. The main providers still haven’t caught up to you.
Your app has been the main tool for over a decade to analyse my performance, which has helped focus on specific areas of training and the big part is maintain motivation for over a decade.
I would offer coding help, but I don’t do PHP and don’t code enough to be anywhere near your skills.
I was delighted to read this morning that you are working on a fix. I haven’t seen version 8.0.1 come through yet. Since you offer it free, then it is obviously up to you what you decide to do with the app. I just wanted to say that there are a lot of us who really appreciate what you have done and more than that, you have helped us maintain a fitter life.
I also thought sharing the impact you have made might help you get back on track with your own fitness.
I would also be willing to pay a subscription if that helped you.

Just want to echo the words on here, your app is amazing. I just checked and see that I first downloaded it in 2012 and it’s been on my phone ever since. Please keep up the great work!

i can only agree with the others, i have been using the app for years and don’t want to miss it. therefore, how can i support? i don’t see anything where i can make a financial contribution.
But, I just installed the new version 8.01, the Garmin login works so far. But no activities are loaded newer than September 28??
Same here, today i got the 8.0.1 Update from the AppStore.
My last activity in ConnectStats is 30.09.23 but there are 5-6 more in Garmin. Everytime i try to refresh the Startpage from the App the Garmin Website pops up and i have to confirm that i have to share data with ConnectStats in a endless loop.

Hi Brice – another long time user and huge fan. As others have said, I’d happily pay to keep the app going but appreciate that it’s not just a financial issue so if there is any other way we can help, let us know (I’m also not a coder so unfortunately can’t help with that!)
8.01 at least gets me logged in to Garmin and has downloaded all my recent activities but unfortunately none of them have come with the names I’d applied in Garmin Connect (this is since 25th September).

I am looking at trying to understand and fix remaining issues. Not easy as it’s currently working for me and definitely quite a few users now, so I need to work out what is different for the users that still have issues

Thanks again for all your work on this great App. The latest update now reinstates downloading my running which is captured by my Garmin watch but does not download my indoor cycling activities that are transferred into Garmin connect from Rouvy.
Also, I would be happy to pay a small fee to support the app development.
